Althoug, we accepted the word to be Yoruba, but, it's not in the Yoruba Dictionary. Therefore, we treated it as a new word, then, we try to find the appropriate meaning of it.
The best way to do that is to divide the word into syllables, then, give meaning to each of the syllables.
The word fuji is a two syllable words. The first is fu and the second is ji.
Amazingly ! We have : fu and ji. In the Yoruba two letters words. Now let's find out what those words mean.
Starting from the word : ji.
Ji means :
1. To be awake
2. To wake up.
Then followed by the word : fu.
Fu in Yoruba usage, is used to describes actions or movement that are done fast, horridly or quickly
Examples are :
1. O dide fu.
2. O fo fu.
From the above definitions of fu and ji, we came to the conclusion that the word : fuji is a new Yoruba word meaning :
1. Wake up fast
2. Horridly wake up
3. Quickly wake up
The Yoruba translation of the above are :
1. Tete ji
